During the battle with Reth's Pride at Marsh Forest, Astuto's Leash cowers in fear as Reth and his pride gradually advance to them. However, they eventually retreat, and Rani asks if they're okay. Astuto nods, thanking her. Later, Kion tells Mhina that Rani blames him for Astuto's Leash and Cek's Flock getting attacked. During the final battle for the Tree of Life, Astuto's Leash is attacked by Makucha's Leap, but are rescued when Kion uses the Roar of the Elders to defeat them and the rest of the predators.
