Huwezi!
―Fuli's catchphrase

Fuli is a female King cheetah, the daughter of Fila and Kesho, the fomer Girlfriend of Jasiri and the current grilfriend of Azaad, the sister of Nyeupe and Nane. She is the fastest member of the Lion Guard and a member of Fila's Coalition.

She is a supporting character in Legends of the Lion Guard.

Appearance

Older Cub

Fuli's pelt is golden, while her muzzle, paws, and underbelly are paler in color.

Her ears are rimmed with brown, and she has dark brown markings all over her body. The Mark of the Guard is imprinted on her left shoulder. Her eyes are green.

Teenager

As a teenager, aside from growing taller with age, Fuli’s most prominent changes involve her markings, which noticeably change from light brown to a darker shade of brown to the point of almost appearing black.

Likewise, the number of markings around her her legs has increased by one spot, while the markings around her body have changed in shape to the point of having spots within previously blank markings

Personality

Entirely comfortable in her own spots, Fuli is a feline of pride. She is confident, bordering arrogant in her great running abilities and shows extreme delight for being able to outpace a pursuer of any species. Fuli is more than confident, acting considerably cocky and haughty about her own incredible skills, even when addressed in a fashion that is not simple praise.

Perhaps because of this enormous hubris, Fuli is not one to respect authority, being particularly resentful of lions for "lording" over the Pride Lands. She is a character who desires proof and reason to involve her trust and respect. She doesn't even join the Lion Guard at first because Kionfails to produce the Roar of the Elders.

Another more negative trait of Fuli's is a general lack of tact. Even among her own friends, she's a little sarcastic, as seen when she sarcastically jeers at Kion for squeaking instead of roaring. She is one to speak her mind, and even at the expense of others, she makes her opinions clear, often when her thoughts are directed in a more sassy direction.

Despite this, Fuli is a valuable member of the Lion Guard, being both brave and clever. Her disdain for other species does not interfere with her inner heroism, for Fuli is willing to jump in paw and tail to save the Pride Lands from harm. Like her friends, she will do what is necessary to keep the Circle of Life in balance, no matter how gritty the work.

History

Backstory

Fuli was born to Kesho and Fila, along with her sister, Nyeupe, and brother, Nane. She was born in Leopon Plains, but her family moved to the Pride Lands a few months after she was born. She began learning about the cultures of the Pride Lands, and trained herself to be one of the fastest cheetahs in the land. Eventually, while running around in the Pride Lands one day, Kion selected her to be the fastest on his Lion Guard. Albeit skeptical at first, Fuli accepted, and soon grew to love her role. She defended the Pride Lands, and soon knew about Kion's crush on Mhina, sometimes teasing him for it. She also developed a passionate relationship with Marigold, Vitani's daughter. She liked to visit her family, and often tried to help Nyeupe get over her fear of lions. As a teenager, she grew ever the more faster. When the Lion Guard moved to Leopon Plains and joined the Tumaini Pride, Fuli met Azaad, another cheetah, and often engaged in fun races with him. Upon learning more culture in Leopon Plains, she loved it and began to help its residents. Her romance with Azaad bloomed, and they soon became a couple.

Legends of the Lion Guard: Protectors of the Pride Lands

The Orphans

Fuli is patrolling with the Lion Guard, and they head to Chakula Plains to stop Janja's Clan from harming Thurston's Herd. Fuli contributes to the fight by bowling Nne and Tano away. Fuli is later heading back to the Lair when she and the Guard encounter Hanisi and his siblings.

A Celebration in the Pride Lands

Fuli is relaxing in the Lair of the Lion Guard with the rest of the Guard; she asks if Kupatana is tomorrow, which Kion confirms. Fuli teases Kion by saying that they know that he crushes on Mhina. When Vitani says that they can look after Marigold, Fuli brightens at the thought of looking after Kion's "most precious" niece. When talking with Simba, Kion mentions that Vitani wants them to look after Marigold. The next day, Fuli waits at the Watering Hole for Mhina and his family, alongside the Guard. After greeting Mhina, Fuli suggests to head back to Pride Rock, and Kion agrees. The Guard then shows Mhina and his family their Lair and the watering hole, and play Baobab Ball with them. After their game, they head back to prepare for the celebration. Later, Fuli attends the Kupatana celebration, and she nudges Marigold to stand next to Simba. Marigold soon becomes tired, but Fuli gently reminds her that the celebration will be over soon. However, Reth's Pride proceeds to crash the celebration, and Kion assigns Fuli and Ono to protect Marigold, alongside Mhina and his siblings. Fuli comforts Marigold and tells her that she is safe, and watches as Kion confronts Reth.

The Pride Lands Games

Fuli and the Lion Guard patrol in Urembo Meadows when Nguruma and Amira tag along with them, bringing news about the Pride Lands Games, and Kion heads back to Pride Rock to learn more from Simba. There, Kion learns that his team is made up of the Guard and his adopted brother, Vuai. Zazu brings word that the Tree of Life delegation has arrived, and the Guard is sent to fetch them, with Nguruma and Makini soon joining. Kion brings the delegation to Pride Rock, where Kion explains to Rani that the Guard and Vuai make up the Pride Lands team. The next day, the Guard declares themselves ready, and they head to Mizimu Grove to meet up with the other delegations. Simba and Rafiki explain the first challenge, the swimming relay, and the delegations soon head to Lake Shangaza. When Beshte completes his round, Fuli asks if she really has to enter the lake water, but is urged to by Kion and Beshte.

Fuli decides to do the challenge, but says that if she catches whitecough, it's their fault. She dives in, concentrating on the cheers of Nyeupe and Nane, and Marigold's as well. When she grabs a stick, she declares her hate of water, and Imanif taunts her for it. When Fuli reaches the shore at last, the other team members have passed her, but Zuri shows her sympathy for the cheetah. As Bunga enters, she and Kion are confident that he'll win. The Pride Lands team ends up winning the challenge, and the delegations travel to Embamba Canyon for the running relay. When it is her turn, Fuli lines up with Imanif, Tatu, Baliyo, Zuri, and Kicheko. Fuli believes that she will easily win because she's a cheetah, and takes off at a very fast pace. She runs back quickly, passing the twig to Bunga, and Kion praises his friend. In turn, she praises him when he completes his round. The Pride Lands team ends up winning the challenge, and the delegations head to Acacia Grove for the stone throw. Upon Fuli's turn, she throws the stone in a hole, and Simba awards her with three points.

At the end of the challenge, team South Lands is the winner, and team Pride Lands and Grass Walls tie for second place. The delegations travel to the Grove of Trees for the stick toss. When it is her turn, Fuli sends her stick flying across the grove, and Simba gives her five points. Marigold, perched on Nala's shoulders, continues cheering for her close friend. The delegations soon head to Lake Matope for the wrestling challenge. In her round, Fuli faces Tatu, and easily defeats her, helping the leopon up to her paws. After Okereke hurts Bunga, the games are promptly ended, with Simba deciding to call the winner the next day. Fuli and the Guard head back to the Lair, and the next morning, watches as team Leopon Plains become winners.

Team Play

Fuli relaxes with the Guard in the Lair, talking about Bunga and what happened after the Pride Lands Games. Soon, Kion leads Mhina, who is visiting, into the Lair, and Bunga soon returns as well. The honey badger brings news that Busara is missing, so the Guard heads out to find him, with Jasiri and Anga soon joining. Unbeknownst to them, Duma is watching and reports to his coalition, who decide to rescue Busara before the Guard. Meanwhile, in Embamba Canyon, Ono and Anga use their eyesight to locate Busara, and also report that Janja's Clan and Duma's Coalition are closing in on him. Fuli, Mhina, and Kion track Duma's Coalition in the west part of the canyon, easily picking up their scent and encountering them. They soon get into a fight, where Duma is quickly defeated. His coalition then retreats to Leopon Plains, and the Guard regroups with the others. After Busara is reunited with his parents, Fuli speeds off, leaving Kion and Mhina by themselves.

The New Heroes

Fuli relaxes in the Lair with the Lion Guard, talking about how quiet it has been as of late. Soon, she heads out on patrol with the Guard and Mhina, who is visiting for the day, and they are soon joined by Anga as well. As they patrol Mizimu Grove, Makini rushes up to them, reporting that Kiburi's Float is attacking Timon and Pumbaa at the watering hole. The Guard rushes off to stop them, but by the time they arrive, two mysterious lions have driven the crocodiles away. They introduce themselves as Gina and Tapu, and Kion takes the patrol away. Fuli is one of those to complain, saying that those lions acted like the Guard. Nyata and Shupavu report the event to Reirei and Goigoi, who then plot to take out Rafiki. Meanwhile, the Lion Guard has just finished patrolling Lake Matope when Ono suddenly reports the jackals attacking Rafiki at Mizimu Grove. Quickly, the Lion Guard rushes there, and find Gina and Tapu waiting. Gina points to Rafiki, who has easily sent the jackals scampering with his martial arts skills. She and Tapu then apologize for making the Lion Guard feel replaced before dashing off. Kion tells his teammates to return to the Lair, and Fuli does so as he stays behind.

Nguruma and the Bully

Fuli patrols with the rest of the Guard and Mhina in Ukuni Woods. Upon learning of Mapigano attacking Nguruma at Urembo River, she glances at Kion, and rushes to the river. The next day, Fuli is patrolling Embamba Canyon when Makini and Nguruma join them, explaining that Mapigano returned and attacked. Kion decides to teach his brother how to stand up for himself in a series of tests. In his second test, Nguruma senses Fuli sneaking up behind him, which earns him praise. Fuli and Mhina then test Nguruma on being assertive, doing it in Ukuni Woods. They demonstrate by "fighting" over a stick, which briefly worries Nguruma, but he gets the hang of it. Soon, he is taken to Urembo River to confront Mapigano with newfound strength.

Kion and Nguruma's Birthday

Fuli and the Guard gather at Pride Rock to hear Simba and Nala's news about the celebration. They later meet at Mizimu Grove to discuss the celebration planning. The next day, the Guard gathers at Pride Rock again for a role check, and Bunga, Fuli, and Beshte go to retrieve the other attending delegations. Later, Fuli attends the birthday celebration, which is soon crashed by Kiburi's Float and Makucha's Leap, and Fuli is assigned by Kion to deal with the leopards. Kion later leads the Guard into the Lair to rest.

An Enemy In Trouble

Fuli and the Guard wait at Pride Rock for Ono to return. When he does, they set out on their patrol, but before they can get far, they encounter Makini, who is looking for herbs. Not long after she leaves, Goigoi and Mbweha approach the Guard, begging for them to save Reirei, who has been swept away in the current. Despite hesitating, they rush off to Urembo River, where Fuli argues with Reirei on whether she wants their help, and asks Ono who is at Big Springs. After Riptail is defeated, she asks an angry Reirei what's wrong, but she and her family stalk off.

An Unknown Threat

Fuli and the Lion Guard are patrolling Ukuni Woods, and she and Beshte talk about the peace. Ono suddenly reports that a strange clan of hyenas is attacking Kasi and Imara at the watering hole, and the Guard, along with Anga, rush there. When the leader, Kucha, scratches Kion, he tells Fuli that he's okay, and orders her to get everyone behind him. He then uses the Roar to drive the clan of hyenas back. The Guard returns to Pride Rock, explaining what happened to the pride. Marigold approaches Fuli, and reports that Amira has started her training. She replies that's great and nuzzles her before entering the Lair of the Lion Guard. Inside the Lair, she brings up Marigold's exciting news, and Kion comments that she's doing well. Suddenly, Makini rushes inside, frantically reporting that Nguruma and Na'Zyia are being attacked at Lake Shangaza by a hyena clan, and the Guard rushes there. Kion orders Fuli and Beshte to get his brother and Na'Zyia behind him before using the Roar, driving Kucha's Clan away. He then leads the Guard on a patrol at Mekundu Cliffs, but Ono exclaims that the hyenas are now attacking Masozi at Lake Matope, making Fuli mutter seriously. Masozi is swiftly rescued and Kucha's Clan is defeated, and as the Guard returns home, Kucha swears revenge.

A Fragile Hope

Fuli and Ono both agree that it has been rather peaceful lately. Zazu informs the Lion Guard that Simba needs them at Pride Rock, and they return there, where he explains that Jivin is ill. He adds that the Guard can travel to the Tree of Life if they wish, and they agree to do so, joining Rafiki and Makini. She sides with Bunga and Beshte, hoping that Jivin will be okay. When Maya comforts her children, Fuli exchanges a glance with Kion and Mhina.

Mhina's Tale

Fuli patrols with the Lion Guard in Ndefu Grove, agreeing with Beshte that it has been quiet as of late. Mhina soon joins them, talking about his jaglion idols, Sakina and Amun, and the heroic deeds they have done. Suddenly, Anga flies up to them, reporting that two jaglions are attacking Kuuma, Mahuluti, and Uchoraji at Lake Matope, and the Guard immediately rushes there to stop them. Fuli leads them towards Beshte as Kion convinces them to leave, and she gives her friends an awkward glance as Kion comforts a heartbroken Mhina. The Guard, Mhina, and Anga return to Pride Rock to inform Kion's family about what happened, and Marigold approaches Fuli. They greet each other, and Marigold says that she's happy Fuli is here. The cheetah gives her an affectionate nuzzle, then follows her friends into the Lair of the Lion Guard. When Makini brings news that the Pride Landers are growing distasteful of hybrids, Fuli agrees with Kion as he reassures Mhina that he'll fix this. Suddenly, Zazu informs everyone that two jaglions are attacking Masozi at Urembo River, and the Guard rushes there. Fuli leads Masozi toward Beshte as Kion unleashes the Roar on Sakina and Amun, driving them away. She is the first member of the Guard to awkwardly leave so Kion can have alone time with Mhina.

Felines on the Run

In the Lair, Fuli comments that something always happens in the Pride Lands. After Vitani drops off Mhina, he talks about how happy he is to be with Kion and everyone, making Fuli share a glance with Bunga and Beshte. When Zazu reports that two lions are at the watering hole border, Kion glances over at Mhina and Fuli, leading his teammates there to investigate. They learn that the lions are named Salim and Ujuzi, and when she suggests that they should be taken to Pride Rock, Kion agrees with her. Shortly after returning to Pride Rock, Kion and Mhina introduce Salim and Ujuzi to the Royal Family and talk about a home for them, and Marigold approaches her friend. She brightly greets Fuli, saying that she missed her. The cheetah replies that she missed her as well, nuzzing Marigold before joining her friends, the lions, and Makini in the Lair. Zazu soon flies in, reporting that Ajani is happy to welcome Salim and Ujuzi into Leopon Plains, and Kion leads the Lion Guard, Mhina, and Makini there, traveling through various landmarks in the Back Lands. Ono soon spots Ajani, and everyone bounds forward to introduce him to Salim and Ujuzi.

A Wonderful Royal Summit

In the early hours of the morning, Bunga excitedly exclaims to the Lion Guard that they need to hear what Pumbaa did yesterday, using a vine to swing into the Lair's pond. In the process, he splashes Fuli, who scowls, disgusted by becoming wet. He quickly apologizes before continuing. After he finishes the story, Kiara appears at the entrance to the Lair, informing the Guard that Simba needs them at the peak of Pride Rock immediately. There, Simba reveals that an event will be held in Mizimu Grove, and as he leads the Lion Guard, Royal Family, and Mjuzis there, Bunga suggests that the event could be a party, but Fuli rolls her eyes and demands why the king would throw a party at the crack of dawn. The Lion Guard is then led into Mizimu Grove, and Simba announces that a Royal Summit between every kingdom is being held. Shortly after, the Guard listens as the summit begins and concludes with the induction of new allies in Kuro's Herd.

Wildfire Emergency

When Kion mentions that they need to be on the lookout for dried watering holes, Fuli ruefully remarks that the Pride Lands having abundant water sources is a good thing. After Anga reports that wildfires are sweeping through Mbali Fields, Fuli freezes, shaking with dread as she realizes that her family is in danger. She informs the Guard of the situation, and Kion tries to comfort her, but in distress, she speeds off. Quickly, Kion orders Beshte to help her, and he takes off in the direction of Mbali Fields. Upon the fires in Chakula Plains being put out, Kion tells Ma Tembo that Fuli and Beshte need backup at Mbali Fields. They head there, and a panicked Fuli speeds up to them, her pelt smeared with soot. She breathlessly exclaims that her family is scattered; Nane has embers in his eyes; Nyeupe is hardly able to walk, and she can't find her parents. Ma Tembo assures her that nothing will be lost, dishing out instructions to everyone else. Once she notices that Zito is not helping, she points out how frightened Fuli is to him - she could have lost her entire family in the fire. In the chaos, Fuli manages to find her parents, and while she is stressed, she is also relieved. Soon, the fires are put out, and she thanks everyone for their help. When she reunites with the Guard, she agrees that they're legends.

Legends of the Lion Guard: Battle for the Pride Lands

Fuli is now a teenager. When Kion talks about the peace not wanting to be disturbed, she inquires even if Mhina is patrolling with them, noting that Kion has been talking about him excessively for sunrises. Ono then reports that Mhina is coming toward them with Anga and Jasiri, and Kion greets him happily, but Ono interrupts the peace by saying that Vuai is being attacked at Urembo River by Janja's Clan. Arriving there, Fuli leads Vuai to Beshte, and watches Kion use the Roar to send Janja's Clan flying back. Kion then sends Vuai home, and leads the patrol into Chekundu Cliffs. When he and Mhina begin to have a deep talk, Fuli shares an awkward glance with Bunga and Beshte. Upon hearing that Kiburi's Float is attacking Timon and Pumbaa at Lake Matope, the patrol rushes there. Fuli leads Timon and Pumbaa to Beshte, and Kion uses the Roar to drive Kiburi's Float back. Kion leads the patrol back into Chekundu Cliffs, soon finishing checking things there, and Ono reports that Nguruma, Shauri, and Hasani are being attacked by Reirei's Pack at Lake Kiziwa. Upon arriving there, Fuli wraps her tail around Nguruma's shoulders and leads him and his kin over to Beshte. After Reirei's Pack is roared out of the Pride Lands, everybody returns back to Pride Rock. Fuli greets Marigold, rubbing her paw along her jawline, greeting her affectionately and saying that she missed her before joining her friends in the Lair. Soon, Zazu flies in, reporting that Rafiki is being attacked at Ukuni Woods by Kiburi's Float.

While Kion notes that Rafiki can handle this himself, he leads the patrol there anyway, finding his suspicion correct. As the others head off, Fuli asks Kion if he's joining them in the Lair, but he declines to be with Mhina. While Bunga tries getting into their business, Fuli scolds him and proceeds to drag him back to the Lair by his scruff. Later, Fuli patrols with the Lion Guard in Nyani Grove, and she proudly says that they'll never give up defending the Circle of Life. Mhina and Anga join the Guard, but not long after, they report that Janja's Clan is attacking Na'Zyia at Maji Baridi Falls. Everyone rushes there, and Fuli leads Na'Zyia toward Beshte as Kion unleashes the Roar of the Elders on the hyenas. After Na'Zyia is sent home, Kion leads the Guard, Mhina, and Anga toward Chakula Plains, but before they can get there, Ono reports that Diku is being attacked by Mzingo and Mwoga at Mapango Cliffs, and everyone rushes there. Fuli leads Uma to Beshte as Kion uses the Roar to send the vultures flying away. The Lion Guard, Mhina, and Anga return to Pride Rock, where Fuli happily greets Marigold, and both profess how happy they are to be together. She then joins her friends in the Lair, along with Nguruma and Marigold. Later, Fuli patrols with the Lion Guard and Anga in Embamba Canyon, and Mhina soon joins them. When he and Kion exchange a significant look, Anga glances at Fuli and Beshte. After some time passes, Ono reports that Reth's Pride is attacking Nguruma, Timon, and Pumbaa at Lake Shangaza, and everyone rushes there.

Fuli leads Nguruma, Timon, and Pumbaa to Beshte as Kion unleashes the Roar of the Elders on the evil pride of lions, and she glances at Bunga warmly when he embraces his uncles. The Lion Guard, Mhina, and Anga soon return to Pride Rock, and settle in the Lair. During a patrol in Mizimu Grove, Fuli comments that they'll fight for what's right. When Mhina, Anga, and Jasiri join the Guard, Fuli agrees with Ono that Anga is a valuable asset for the Guard. He soon reports that Varya is being attacked by Janja's Clan at Mekundu Cliffs, and upon arriving there, Fuli leads the tigress to Beshte as Kion unleashes the Roar on the hyenas. Kion leads the Lion Guard, Mhina, Anga, and Jasiri to a patrol in Kilio Valley, but before they can get there, head to the watering hole to rescue Wema from Reth's Pride. Sans Jasiri, everyone returns to Pride Rock to settle in the Lair, and Fuli and Marigold talk about spending more time with each other. She tells Marigold that she loves her before joining everyone else in the Lair, where things are peaceful for a while. Makini soon rushes into the Lair in tears, explaining that Nguruma was kidnapped by Kucha's Clan and she doesn't know where they are. After hearing that he is in the Outlands, Makini begins to blame herself for not being more protective, and Fuli reassures her not to blame herself for something Kucha has done.

The Lion Guard, Makini, Mhina, and Anga head into the Outlands, soon reaching the volcano, and Fuli wonders what Kucha is getting up to. After Kion explains that he can lure the hyenas away from Nguruma, Fuli adds that they need to get past the steam vents and telling Ono to find a safe route around the hyenas. When they reach the blind lion, Fuli assigns Bunga, Beshte, and Anga to deal with the enemies while she, Makini, Mhina, and Ono will rescue Nguruma, urging everyone to go immediately. Her group move gently toward Nguruma, and she reassures him that he's safe and will be taken to Kion. Fuli adds that he can get a ride on Beshte since his paws are burned, and they'll leave once the others get back. Once they do, she helps to get Nguruma on Beshte, assigning Ono to inform Kion of the rescue and giving the cue to leave. Suddenly, Kion unleashes the Roar, which causes the volcano to begin erupting, spewing lava everywhere. Fuli screams tell them something they don't know, and gives orders to who goes first, beginning to cross a stone bridge. However, it collapses before she and Bunga can cross, but Fuli uses her speed to carry herself and Bunga over the lava. With everyone safe, she calls for everyone, including Nguruma, to return to the Pride Lands. They rejoin Kion at an acacia tree, and begin to awkwardly leave, with Fuli's excuse being helping her mother.

During a patrol in Acacia Grove, Fuli asks Kion if Nguruma is doing okay, saying that she's glad Makini was there to take care of him. Mhina, Anga, and Jasiri then join the Lion Guard, and Anga reveals that Jivin, Rani, Baliyo, Kenene, and Ullu are at the watering hole, making Kion share a glance with Fuli and Mhina. He leads everyone there to learn what's going on, and they find out that Jivin wishes to speak with the Royal Family. The visitors are escorted to Pride Rock, where Jivin explains everything to Simba, and Rani and Baliyo join the Lion Guard and their allies on a patrol in Mizimu Grove, unaware that Scar is plotting to keep them distracted. The patrol soon concludes, and just after Fuli agrees with Beshte that it's been quiet all day, Ono reports that Sarabi is being attacked at Urembo River by Kiburi's Float. Arriving there, the crocodiles refuse to leave on Kion's word, and he orders Fuli, Bunga, and Beshte to protect Sarabi while the others attack. However, the latter affirms that she doesn't need protection, wishing to fight, and the Lion Guard chant their battle cry. Fuli immediately dashes forward, sending Tamka soaring in the direction of a baobab. Kiburi's Float is soon beaten, and once everyone regroups behind Kion, he sends the crocodiles flying away with the Roar of the Elders. After Sarabi leaves, Fuli says that she needs to go home, and Beshte bids her farewell as she speeds off.

Later, Fuli is patrolling Chekundu Cliffs with the Lion Guard, saying that she's glad it's been peaceful lately. Just then, Ono reports that Janja's Clan is attacking Binga at Big Ravine, and Fuli questions if they need to protect her as they rush there. Kion, in turn, replies that they help any Pride Lander in need. Before fighting, he assigns her to guard Binga, though the latter affirms that she's fighting if Bunga is here with them. Fuli instead charges toward Cheezi, easily pinning him on the ground near an acacia tree. When Kion worries about Mhina's absence on a patrol, Fuli reassures him that he's on his way, silencing Bunga when he makes a less-than-helpful remark. After finising a patrol at Rocky Ridge, Fuli suggests a patrol at Poromoko Crevasse, and Kion nods in agreement. Suddenly, Ono reports that they have an issue, and she mutters that they always do. Right before fighting Janja's Clan at Maji Baridi Falls, Kion orders Fuli, Anga, and Vuai to handle Shenzi and Banzai, to which Fuli responds that he's got it. Once the hyenas are defeated, Fuli remarks that her parents want her to hunt with them, and she speeds off. While patrolling Ukuni Woods, Fuli asks if there will be any attacks today, which Kion doesn't rule out. When the Guard confronts Kiburi's Float, Kion assigns Fuli and Beshte to keep Nita safe, and wrapping her tail around her shoulders, Fuli leads her to Beshte. Upon learning that Rafiki and Makini are under attack by the hyenas and jackals, Kion orders Fuli, Beshte, Anga, and Ono to deal with the jackals. Fuli collides into Reirei, sending her flying into an acacia tree.

After Janja tries to flee, Kion orders her and Mhina to take charge of the battle as he pursues the hyena. Kion soon calls the Lion Guard to him, which Fuli encourages. Once the Outlanders are defeated, Fuli remarks that the battle was fun, but Kion doesn't respond to her. Examing a mark in the ground, Rafiki reveals that Scar has returned, and the Lion Guard returns to Pride Rock to inform the Royal Family. Later, the Lion Guard relaxes in the Lair, and when Kion mentions a meeting between Simba and the kingdoms, Fuli teasingly asks if this means Mhina is coming. The Lion Guard follows Kiara out of the Lair, and greet Simba at the peak, where he informs them to fetch the delegations from the watering hole. On the way there, Fuli questions if anyone will join the patrol, and Kion thinks Rani, Baliyo, Mhina, and his siblings will. The Guard leads the delegations back to Pride Rock, and sets out on a patrol in Urembo Meadows. Suddenly, Anga reports that Maisha and Mahuluti are under attack by Kiburi's Float at Lake Shangaza, and the patrol rushes there. During the battle, Fuli charges at Tamka, sending him toppling into an acacia tree. Once the crocodiles are roared away by Kion, Fuli suggests returning to Pride Rock, and Kion says that he and Mhina will be behind them. Bunga tries to nose into their business, but Fuli groans that it's none of their concern and drags him off by his scruff. Soon after, the Lion Guard has assembled the Pride Landers at Pride Rock, where Kion reveals that Scar has returned, and he explains that each Guard member will lead a training session.

When Ono reports that there's another problem, Fuli groans, muttering that of course there is. Clearing her throat, she asks Kion what they'll do, and he assigns her, Ono, and Bunga to deal with Janja's Clan at Lake Shangaza, urging them to go fast. Fuli jokes that he forgot who he was talking to, as she is the fastest. Kion tells Laini and Bupu to go with them, and Fuli questions Bupu if she has to say "please," to which he responds that she just did. After fighting off Janja's Clan, Fuli arrives at the watering hole to find Nguruma semi-unconscious, and shocked, she worriedly inquires about what happened. They take him back to Pride Rock, and Fuli helps Nguruma to settle into a mossy nest, lapping at his flank to warm him up. She shifts his head with Makini to allow Rafiki to give him a mixture, stroking his spine with her tail. Later, Fuli relaxes in the Lair, asking worriedly if Nguruma is okay. Kion comments that he has whitecough, adding that the battle is drawing near, and Fuli promises that they're with him no matter what. She then heads out with the Guard on a patrol of Big Ravine, but they are interrupted by Zazu, who frantically reports that the Outlanders are invading. Fuli inquires about what they'll do, and anxiously, Kion assigns her and Beshte to fight at Mizimu Grove. She declares that they won't give off, and reciting the Lion Guard's catchphrase, she takes off. However, it becomes clear that Fuli and Beshte are overwhelmed, and seeing the Guard struggling on all sides, Zazu informs Simba.

Simba turns to the delegations, and orders Rani, Baliyo, and Jivin to go to Mizimu Grove to help Fuli and Beshte. Upon arriving at Mizimu Grove, Jivin asks where they are, and Rani observes that Fuli is pinned against a tree by Kiburi, struggling to fight him. Unsheathing her claws, Rani charges into the battle and knocks Kiburi away from Fuli, who then slices at his muzzle. Kiburi growls that they won't win this time, but Fuli reminds him that they've beaten them before. Reirei warns her that she shouldn't be too sure, and Dogo and Bila viciously attack Rani. Fuli kicks Dogo into a tree, stating that they're fighting the two of them if they want a fight. Some time afterward, Zazu flies up to Fuli, frantically reporting that Reth's Pride has captured Marigold and are dangling her over the edge of Rocky Plateau. She immediately questions if he's sure, shock and panic filling her, her heart twisting. Holding back tears, Fuli races to Rocky Plateau, stopping in horror upon seeing Kariuki dangling Marigold over the edge. Slash chuckles that she's come to save her, but Fuli growls that she's a cub and has done nothing to them, demanding for her to be let go. Kariuki flings Marigold down into the crevasse, causing Fuli to shriek, but Hadithi suddenly appears with his bird army. She watches in amazement as they attack Reth's Pride, grateful for their help, and Anga and Hadithi catch Marigold before she can impact the ground.

She cries for Fuli, and the birds fly up to her, revealing that Marigold is safe. Relieved, Fuli calls for Marigold, reassuring her that she's alright and pulling her into her body, promising that nobody will hurt her now. She turns to Anga, instructing her to fetch herbs from the Mjuzis, and grasping Marigold's scruff, she races back to Pride Rock. She places Marigold down, and Atka and Merah are relieved to see that their granddaughter is safe. Dara questions what happened, and she reveals what Reth's Pride did, causing Merah to thank her for saving Marigold. Fuli adds that Anga will bring herbs, and she bids farewell to Marigold, saying that she'll return soon. Once Marigold is out of earshot, she explains that Hadithi's birds distracted Reth's Pride, and before she dashes off, tells Atka and Merah to assure Marigold that she'll be back. Fuli, along with Azaad, rushes up to Kion, Mhina, and Mhina's siblings at Chakula Plains, blinding Reirei's Pack with their wake. She apologizes to Kion for not getting here sooner, informing him of what happened to Marigold, shocking him, and she adds that she's now back with her kin. Azaad comments that he's come along to help them, twining tails with Fuli. Ono reports that Kion's family is under attack by Kucha's Clan at Pride Rock, and Kion leads the Guard, Mhina, his siblings, and Azaad there. With the others, Fuli charges into the fight, and watches as Scar's spirit addresses the crowd.

Just a few minutes later, the Pride Landers are still left in shock when Ono reports two attacks - Reth's Pride causing chaos in Maumivu Thorn Patch - and Acacia Grove's residents being attacked by Mzingo's Parliament while also being on fire. Kion exchanges a glance with Fuli and Mhina. Bunga tries to ask a worried Kion about the plan regarding the vultures, but Fuli silences him. She questions what the plan is more gently, and Kion tells her to decide instead. She assigns him, Beshte, Bunga, and Jasiri to help her with Mzingo's Parliament, Ono to see if Hadithi's bird army needs help, and the others to make sure everyone is safe. Later, at Mapema Rock, Fuli gently asks Kion if he has a plan to defeat Scar, but he doesn't yet. Kinyonga, having just returned from the volcano, reports that Kion must use his most powerful Roar in the volcano to eliminate Scar, but Fuli points out that getting there will be hard. Simba says that it's even more of a reason to invade the Outlands, and the Pride Landers band together, charging into the Outlands, and Fuli asks Bupu if they have to say please, to which he responds that she just did. The Lion Guard gets a clear path into the caldera and enters it, where Scar greets them. Suddenly, Ushari latches onto Kion, scarring him, and Fuli exclaims no. As Kion struggles through the pain, she encourages him that they believe in him.

Kion then forgives Scar, much to the Guard's confusion, and he allows the Spirits of the Past to judge him. They send rain pouring down into the caldera, evaporating Scar permanently, and Ushari tries to avenge him, but Bunga collides with him. They fall into the lava, but Ono rescues Bunga and drops him next to Fuli, exhausted. She praises Kion for defeating Scar, and the Lion Guard exits the caldera, declaring that the battle for the Pride Lands is over. Suddenly, Ono reports that his vision is fuzzy, and Fuli remarks that he did take in a lot of smoke and ash. The Guard assures him that Rafiki will look at him, and Fuli says that they'll go right now. As they do, Kion stops to look at his reflection in a puddle, much to Bunga's impatience. Before Fuli can pull him back in time, Bunga runs up to Kion and yells at him, which causes him to accidentally unleash the Roar of the Elders on him. The Guard approaches Kion, and Fuli murmurs that they must make sure Bunga is alright. Kion rubs his eye with his paw, and she grows more concerned for him. As they lead the way to Chakula Plains, Fuli tells Beshte that Kion must be with Mhina again, and he agrees with her. Once they arrive at Chakula Plains and find that Bunga is alright, Fuli urges Kion to go to Pride Rock without them, and he bounds off. Bunga questions what they're doing, and Fuli hisses that they're giving Kion and Mhina alone time.

A short time later, Rafiki and the Lion Guard enter the Lair, with Rafiki mentioning that Fuli told him of what occurred at the battle. Bunga comments that Scar said Kion's scar was the Mark of Evil, and Fuli silences him. When Rafiki notes that Kion's heart is racing, Bunga doesn't believe it is because of his scar, and Fuli places her tail over his mouth so he stops talking, nudging him roughly. Ono worries about his vision returning to full strength, and Fuli commends how fast he was to reach Bunga in the volcano. The pride enters the den, and Simba asks if Kion's scar is only just a scar, to which Rafiki replies that the venom is still inside him and he might not be able to tell right from wrong. Bunga compares him to Scar, and irritated, Fuli nudges him again. Rafiki reveals that Kion can go to the Tree of Life for healing, and Ono wishes to go too, thinking he can be healed. Fuli reassures him that they'll all go. Bunga then points out that Ono isn't the keenest of sight anymore, and while Fuli snaps at him to be quiet, Ono agrees. After Kion makes Ono the smartest member of the Lion Guard, Bunga inquires if he can do that, and Fuli says that he just did. Simba then leads everyone out of the Lair so Kion and Mhina can have some alone time together.

Legends of the Lion Guard: The Dark Prophecy

Before departing for the Tree of Life, the Lion Guard spend some time with their loved ones, and Marigold approaches Fuli. She asks if she'll be back soon, and nuzzling her cheek, Fuli admits that she doesn't know, but hopes that it will be soon. Beginning to cry, Marigold says that she'll miss her, and Fuli responds that she'll miss her as well, rubbing her cheek. The Lion Guard then sets out on their journey and enters the Back Lands. When Ono apologizes for accidentally reporting false information, Fuli reassures him that it's okay. After Nguruma stumbles over large stones, Fuli helps to nudge him up onto Beshte's back. Seeing his brother relaxed, Kion tells everyone to take a break and heads off to look at his reflection. Eventually, they reach the Mountain Pass, where they are greeted by Ullu and Rani, and the latter begins leading them to the Tree. There, they bow before Janna, and after Kion and Ono are examined, Rani takes the Lion Guard on a tour of the Tree of Life. At Ciso River, Fuli sees Kion paw at his scar, and she questions if he's okay. Kion replies that he is, but is just very eager for his healing to start. One day later, before Ono's healing begins, Fuli affirms that they're all so happy for him. Once Ono regains his sight, the Lion Guard joins the Night Pride on the day patrol, heading to Rocky Mountains, and Fuli comments on the serenity of the Tree.

Eventually, Fuli helps to fight Reth's Pride, confronting Reth, Alasiri, Ekene, and Slash. After Ekene almost asphyxiates Rani, Fuli and Nirmala help her settle under a tree. When the rest of the Lion Guard and Night Pride return from fighting in the Tundra, Bunga mentions using his stink on Reth's Pride, and Fuli chuckles, saying that they can all imagine what that was like. Later, the Lion Guard and Night Pride are settled outside the Tree of Life, and Fuli agrees with Beshte that it is really calm here. Shortly afterward, the Lion Guard and Night Pride are outside of the Tree of Life, and Rani leads them on a patrol of Desert Plains. After Ullu warns of an attack on Cek's Flock, Fuli asks who's attacking, and she mentions an army of predators. While Rani rushes off to inform Kion and Nirmala, Fuli urges everyone to rescue the mountain goats, and they head off. Upon arriving at Winter Woods, Fuli asks how the predators even got here, and Mhina says that they can't think about that right now. Anga reports that Cek and his flock are cornered near the lake, and Fuli tells them to come on. During the battle, she lands on Chungwa, who proceeds to throw Fuli off and scratch her muzzle, leaving her to bleed in pain. Once the battle concludes, Rani reminds Kion that Fuli and Baliyo got injured angrily.

Some time following the attack, Kion asks Fuli to lead the Lion Guard for the day, and amused by how his pelt is burning over Mhina, she agrees. She and Rani then lead the Guard, along with the Night Pride and Kingiza, on a patrol of Marsh Forest. On another day, Fuli patrols with the Lion Guard, Night Pride, and Kingiza in Bamboo Woods. When Bunga asks if Kion's scar has healed, Fuli replies that they don't know yet, as the final outcome is up to Kion to decide. Rani suggests that Kion may be as healed as he can be, and Fuli adds that while he isn't at his best, he still is the best. Later, when Beshte ponders about Kion's whereabouts on a patrol, Fuli assures him that he's fine, pointing out that Nirmala did say his healing session would take a while. Suddenly, Ullu and Cara fly up to them in a panic, frantically reporting that Reth's Pride is viciously attacking Saumu's Pounce in Marsh Forest, and the Lion Guard, Night Pride, and Kingiza rush there. During the battle, Fuli, Rani, and Auri face off against Alasiri, attempting to protect Kea and Zera.

Eventually, Reth and his pride retreat, but not before Reth warns everyone that their attack will be much more morbid next time. Shortly after the battle, on another patrol, Kingiza asks where Kion and Mhina are. Fuli isn't certain, stating that Kion didn't tell her where he'd be and if he'd be with Mhina or not. The Guard discusses how Kion and Mhina are so blatantly in love and can't see it, with Fuli remarking that she was sure something would happen when Simba told them to leave the two alone together in the Lair - if Kion's father can see it, it's beyond obvious. When Ullu and Cara reveal that Makucha and his leap are attacking animals in Bamboo Woods, Fuli leads the Lion Guard there along with a few other members of the Night Pride, joining in on the fight. As Makucha lunges toward a golden wolf, Fuli crashes into him and knocks him into the ground, only to be kicked off. Makucha scrambles to his paws just as Fuli sinks her teeth into his tail, leaving him off his balance. He attempts to retaliate by slashing at her cheek, but misses, and Fuli scratches his own cheek enough to leave a few deep cuts. Makucha quickly turns, and sliding underneath Fuli's belly, he tears through the flesh enough to create a few cuts which begin to bleed. Despite being in pain, she dazes him with a blow to the head, but Makucha taunts that she isn't fast enough to catch him, dashing toward Aminia and Danyal.

Exhausted, Fuli resolves to help Aminia and Danyal, though she doesn't know how much she is able to help them. Pushing herself toward Makucha, she tries to stop him, but he zigzags away, causing her to fall to the ground. She tries again, only to just barely miss him, and Makucha says that she'll never catch up to him. Determined to win, she gets back up again, but she finally succumbs to her exhaustion and collapses on the ground. Makucha cuffs Fuli's ear roughly, calling her pathetic for not thinking tactically like he does and for using up her speed. After Mama Binturong and Smun's Prickle capture Bunga, Fuli attempts to run as fast as she can toward him, but the porcupines block her way. Panting, she collapses back onto the ground. Luckily for the Lion Guard and Night Pride, Bunga tricks the army and uses his stink to drive them off. The next day, Fuli patrols with the Lion Guard and Night Pride at Rocky Mountains. When the patrol worries that they're being watched, Rani snaps at them that they shouldn't be talking like this and weighing themselves down with fear. Fuli agrees with her, encouraging the patrol to conserve their energy and put their time towards preparing for the future battles they'll face. The next day, when the Lion Guard and Night Pride feel superstitious over the previous night, Fuli chastises them for being ridiculous and urges them to not let fear control their actions - they have to be strong to protect the Tree of Life. After completing their patrol, they head into Desert Plains, and Bunga rescues Registaan, a camel who had been stuck in the sand.

Fuli, covered in sand, irritably asks if he had to do that, alarming him. As the patrol moves on, Bunga questions if anyone has seen Kion, and Fuli pointedly states that he is busy with other things besides patrolling, but persistent, he quips that there's nothing more important than leading them. Annoyed, Fuli suggests that he's still getting cured from Ushari's venom, though he ponders how much more time Kion truly needs. Fuli snaps that Kion is fine and that his business is none of Bunga's, ordering him to pay attention to the patrol, but Bunga questions where he is, and she irritably replies that he's in the "Valley of None of Our Business" or the "Field of Be Quiet." The other members of the Guard like the "places," though this does nothing to quell Bunga's attitude, and he puts forward the notion that Kion could be in trouble and not telling them, which Beshte disagrees with. Deciding to get answers from Makini and Janna, he rushes off in the direction of Tree of Life. Fuli shouts for him to come back, as the patrol isn't finished, but Rani urges her to keep leading it, bounding off after the honey badger. When Rani and Bunga arrive at Cikha Escarpment to find Kion, the former becomes frustrated with Bunga's quips, and he asks her why she is making a "Fuli face." Upon finding Kion using the Roar, Bunga questions if he's told Mhina he's been mastering it, and he replies that he hasn't told anyone, including Fuli. Suddenly, Cara warns them of the predators launching a huge attack, and rushing to the battlefield, Kion shouts for the Lion Guard to regroup. Relieved, Fuli says that it's about time, and she and the others join him, Bunga, and Rani.

Kion explains the plan to try regular fighting, mentioning an undisclosed backup plan, and Fuli demands what they're waiting for, as the Tree of Life will be destroyed if they don't do anything. Kion states that there's something he must do first, proceeding to make Mhina a member of the Lion Guard. They then split apart, and Fuli chases Makucha's Leap, who are pursuing a group of Amur leopards. She rushes up to Makucha, attempting to slide under his belly, but he slams a paw into her cheek and scratches her deeply. Fuli rises back to her paws, speeding toward Makucha; however, he is already prepared and grabs her tail, unstabilizing her by stretching her muscles, and groaning, she sinks to the ground. After the Guard reunites, Kion squares himself, planning to use the Roar of the Elders to defeat the rest of the villains. Fuli questions if he's really about to use it in front of other animals, and Bunga says that they don't know. The Guard faces him, confused, and he encourages them to wait and see. Once all of Mama Binturong's forces are put out of commission and the Night Pride freed from the Tree of Life, Kion inquires to Fuli if everything's okay, to which she requests to hear his reply, and he affirms that he's okay. She ponders about what they'll do with the villains, and having the perfect idea, Kion decides to convince them to never attack the Tree of Life ever again. Unleashing the Roar of the Elders, he forms a tornado that sweeps up Mama's army, in addition to Reth's Pride, and with a final push, the tornado flings them far away from the territory. Weeks later, the Lion Guard has healed from their injuries and step out of the Tree of Life, preparing to head home.

Before they do so, Jivin gives them temporary, honorary Night Pride marks. They soon set off on their trip, crossing Giant Lake and playing in the snow. Traversing into the Back Lands, they shelter under an acacia tree to rest for a while, and when they set off again, they trek through a narrow stream and through Mirihi Forest, where they help fix a wagtail nest and meet Orji, who climbs into a tree. Midway through, they pause to let Makini collect herbs, and finally, they reach the Iroko Tree. Anga and Ono are quick to spot Pride Rock, and quickly, the Lion Guard enters the Pride Lands and greets Jasiri. After Kion and Nguruma rush up to the peak of Pride Rock, the Lion Guard and Makini soon join them. Just a short time later, Fuli speeds off to Mbali Fields and is joined by Azaad, who had wanted to hang out with her. Warmly agreeing with his sentiment, she takes him to her home and reunites with her entire coalition. Although Azaad is slightly overwhelmed, Fila and Kesho approve of him.
